Congress has voted to strip away $1.1 billion in previously-approved federal funding for public media, which GBH and other stations across the country were counting on. This decision will have a devastating impact on the public media system and the millions who rely on our services: from our local newsroom, to our children’s programming that we produce for a national audience, to emergency support services that keep us all safe.
While the funding has gone away, we have not. Now more than ever, GBH remains committed to you, and to our mission to inform, inspire, and connect our communities through fact-based journalism, educational content, and stories that reflect the world we live in.
